That is good – to go out in nature, it heals you. I think that if this happened here, it would be too far to walk the Camino, but one could pick up the Appalachian Trail which comes into North Georgia. I, on the other hand, would love to cross the Sahara Desert on a camel.Vagabondehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10774109692564954568noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8319797996494487653.post-50143281854969435142013-05-15T05:35:06.605+01:002013-05-15T05:35:06.605+01:00Yes, I wrote this, Grace. Never placed much stock in the cliche that you can't run away from your troubles -- maybe not, but you can walk away from them at approx 3.5 miles per hour and leave the pit sucking in your dust.Goathttp://thegoatthatwrote.net/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8319797996494487653.post-40578923168524987842013-05-11T17:47:14.734+01:002013-05-11T17:47:14.734+01:00I'm glad it worked for you, Hilary!I'm glad it worked for you, Hilary! The Solitary Walkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11284354541952038339noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8319797996494487653.post-358870035780539412013-05-11T01:56:19.636+01:002013-05-11T01:56:19.636+01:00I absolutely loved this.

A good reason to walk the Camino, to keep after that openness with every step. Some of us who wait to walk the physical Camino walk the spiritual one at the very least. These are real places...Tremendous, solitary walker! These are real places in the psyche as Bunyan wrote about. One lifetime may not be long enough to learn how to avoid such places as the Slough, but at least we get some experience of doing so. So that next time, or in some parallel time, we might never need to go there. The camino/chemin has power, no doubt about that. Inteestingly, Noteboom's Roads to Santiago was HANDED to me recently, didn't even have to go searching!dritanjehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16025213970107184429noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8319797996494487653.post-18641205755999384632013-05-07T14:01:47.699+01:002013-05-07T14:01:47.699+01:00Thanks for reading, Carolyn... and Weaver, that bo...Thanks for reading, Carolyn... and Weaver, that book by Nooteboom is tremendous, I think. Perhaps that's the real draw of the Camino and the reason why so many want to keep walking it.

I've long wanted to walk the Camino, but, with every passing month during the past year or so, I've felt that I must walk it.Georgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03959953035812596907noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8319797996494487653.post-34281684722129696192013-05-07T11:25:37.048+01:002013-05-07T11:25:37.048+01:00Brilliant stuff Robert.
