I was just writing to Friko's, in response to her report, that my enjoyment of a snowscape changed a bit after last year's early snowstorm that put the power out for five days. Beauty it has, and I actually took pictures of our first proper one this year (in the Winter Dreams post). The Dickinson poem I included in the post is interesting, contemplating, as it seems to, both the beauty of snow and its terrors.
Oh how I love Winter snow pictures - we are expecting snow tonight and then again on Friday. I can smell snow in the air :-)
