Somebody in the Times said how they hated the term folk as they felt it categorised music unnecessarily. Interesting.
I heard the Thubron interview - there was also a good article on him in the Guardian on Saturday (as well as a review the week before) - he does write really well and it is fascinating from so many angles - do read it.
The Hare with the Amber eyes is also brilliant - I thought of you as one of the writer's ancestors knew Rilke and had a long correspondence with him - another must read/
