Wonderful to be introduced to Ms. Cardona and her poetry. Anyone who chooses to live in Rilke's world of "widening circles" has my vote at the outset.
I like and admire the poem, "The Magician," but I want to come back and read it again. To Ms. Cardona's credit, this is a poem that needs to be mined with multiple readings. The line that resonates most with me, however, is the one she emphasizes: ". . . remember who you are, step outside of time, choose to feed the white wolf." That, I suggest, would widen the circles considerably.
