What an interesting interview Robert. Not sure about the sex and 95 thing though - who says sex is not to be looked forward to when one is 95 - I shall let you know when I reach that age.

Err, thanks Pat!

Abundant thanks again, Robert, for the terrific poetry magazine and the interviews.

To Pat: I anticipated someone noting that particular point as I tried to phrase my interview response. Far be it from me to eclipse that prospect, for me or for you. :-)

Loved the interview with Ruth, Robert, as well as the three poems of hers posted on "The Passionate Transitory." Wouldn't it be great if we could all get together over dinner and just talk about poetry, mystery, wonder, and the many things that delight us? I'm game anytime! Who knows? If this election goes the wrong way, some of us might be seeking refuge a little closer to your part of the world.

I'm terrified about a Romney win, George. Sadly Obama could have done better. So far.

Ruth is a fabulous poet-- I "met" her last year at the Rilke blog-- her poetry is brilliant and beautiful and I love the selections you've included of her work-- she is among the few contemporary poets writing in English whose work turns on glittering imagery-- none of the post-modern shenanigans for her-- xxxJenne' R. Just popped in to say super article in Guardian today by Andrew McCarthy - no doubt you have read it. Am just off over to the Guardian bookshop to order it. No doubt you are doing the same.

Still to find that article, Pat... it's been rather an arduous weekend!
