Sunset

The view from our landing window at 9 o'clock yesterday evening.

Splendor of ended day floating and filling me,
Hour prophetic, hour resuming the past...

Wow! Thank you for posting that photo with those words by Walt Whitman. Still several hours before sunset here. I'm ready for sunset now (-:

A tremendous sunset photo, Robert, and a beautiful reflection by one of my favorite poets. If anyone knew how to get the most out of a day before sunset, it was WW.

Great colours and mood. Is that the in-camera pano?

Incredible picture. I'm finding..landing windows are often underrated spots...I love the view from mine too. Somehow, between floors they just seem to grab or show the view just that little bit different. And to take from Frost, it makes all the difference. Now I'm ready for sunset here, if I can survive the heat!

Ah yes the rosy colour at the setting of the sun, a delight.

That was taken in Sunset Scene Selection mode, Goat, then photoshopped to make the colours a bit more vivid and contrasty.

Thanks, Karin. Yes, from the landing... Sure is a lazy way to take photographs! But sometimes we neglect the obvious and near at hand, don't we?

And thanks too, KleinstMotte, for this and your other recent comments.
