Crocus

If Winter comes, can Spring be far behind? From Ode To The West Wind by Percy Bysshe Shelley.
The slanting winter sunlight was so beautiful and so welcome this morning that I just had to go out into the garden and take a few photographs.

Your crocus are so pretty! Mine are still emerging, little green finger-shoots poking up from the earth; maybe twice as high as they were the other day when I wrote about them.

Don't know how soon they'll bloom. Our weather here has turned cold again—27-degrees F at the moment with snow flurries swirling about. Yesterday they were predicting 4-5 inches of snow; today that has been revised downward to 1/2 inch, and maybe the same tomorrow. Still winter though and still a bit on the cold side for a smart crocus.

Nevertheless, I can hardly wait…
