This is nice. Sort of the musical equivalent of the Happy Dance. People on a one-to-one basis worldwide can generally connect with one another, in spite of a few differences; it's when governments and organizations get involved that the trouble begins…
The only singer I know from the bunch is Keb Mo; I believe I have every one of his CDs.
You are right about that, Solitary. But whether it will every come about or not, is the real rub, because there's just no history of a united front for the good of mankind. The aim has always been short-sighted and self-serving; personal, for power and profit.
I can't see any generation on a scale global enough to make a difference, being willing to sacrifice, to give up, settle for less, do without…not on their own. They could be made to do so, of course, but do those who wield such power have it in themselves to unite and limit their own future?
I just don't believe so—and I sincerely hope I'm wrong.
I believe in people, and the closer they live to the earth, the more I trust their motives. But I don't much believe in people with power…

I agree with you, Grizzled. I can meet ordinary people in any country. And we generally get along just fine.
Certainly the problems of the world need a grass roots solution. Not an imposed, top-down, short-term fix from corrupt and self-serving governments.
But, eco-wise for instance, things are beyond the pale. And we do now need a collaborative, global, governmental unity of purpose - just to survive.

I am afraid I have to agree with 'Grizzled' We are merrily dancing our way to oblivion.
But a blinding bit of music, eh? At least we will all go out singing...
That was rather lovely! A nice way to end the day. :)
I enjoy most of the music you post, but this, for multiple reasons, was especially fine.
Beautiful, SW. I will be posting this to my site soon. Thank you!
Just knew you would like this, Val!
