For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move. ROBERT LOUIS STEVENSON

Diamonds and Rust

Two hours ago I heard Joan Baez sing this live in Nottingham's Royal Concert Hall. What a dignified, commanding, wonderful presence...

Without a doubt, she loved Bob Dylan dearly. I've always found her versions of "Farewell Angelina" to be quite moving, too. She continues to be a passionate and radiant woman. Wonderful to hear that the concert in Nottingham was a good one!

Thank you for the kind birthday wishes!

I really enjoyed this song, and also like the words you chose to describe her performance 'dignified, commanding, wonderful presence ...' It must have been a great experience being there.

Yes, passionate and radiant too, absolutly... My head is still buzing from the concert this morning. It was very uplifting, somehow.
