The beginning of atonement is the sense of its necessity. LORD BYRON
Repentance may begin instantly, but reformation often requires a sphere of years. HENRY WARD BEECHER
He who is penitent is almost innocent. SENECA
Anyone else surprised the 1st quote comes from Lord Byron..?

600!
Where you've been, where you are and where you are going makes for good reading. And seeing good photographs!
Interesting how the Christmas countdown led to this series of reflections as you approach another Camino journey.
Lord Byron surprised me, too. Made me think of Plato's observation that necessity is the mother of invention (-:
Congrats! - might put on some Bob Dylan whilst I read to celebrate.
I think I've missed something - is this a second countdown to something else - your Camino walk.
No, you ain't missed a thing - just riffing on the Reflection/Penitence/Glory thing, the 3 Stages of the Camino.
Putting on some Bob is always a good idea!
And am - thanks...
Unrepentance and unforgiveness usually lead to mental and physical illness.
Repentance is the beginning of sanity.
The man of God who follows the Holy Ghost is thought to be peculiar in the eyes of the worldly man. But the worldly man who rejects Christ is crazy in the eyes of God.
