Thank you. Much, much colder than February - although even then it was often below zero at first light. I remember walking with a lovely Brazilian guy and having to distract him when we passed thermometers.

Well done for walking so much of this,

Andy

Now I feel a bit annoyed I didn't make the end - but I'm sure it'll pass. I'm thinking this from the comfort of my own home and forgetting how tired I was and how the rain fell in such torrents. Perhaps that's one of the lessons I have to learn? That the 'end' is notional, and everyone's path and destination is a different one. (Though actually I think I know this already - as some of my later poems may show?) Santiago, historical and beautiful and emotionally-charged as it is, is, in a sense, only a convenient peg to hang our 'destination' on, is it not?

This video flicks through the photos so quickly! Too fast, too fast!

The idea was...the restless wind of the song? Plus an edgy, dissatisfied, neurotic feel because I hadn't finished the pilgrimage?

Actually, though, you're right. I think I just got fed up and crammed everything in...
