For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move. ROBERT LOUIS STEVENSON

Transcendental Reunion

What would we do without Transatlantic Sessions? Here's the incomparable Mary Chapin Carpenter.

The friends and relations
Leaping over hemispheres
Transcendental reunion
All borders vanish here

We are travelers traveling
We are gypsies together
We’re philosophers gathering
We are business or pleasure

We are going or coming
We’re just finding our way
To the next destination
And from night into day...

Mary Chapin Carpenter is one of my favorites. Now this video has introduced me to a new favorite. Thanks for this!

The trouble with reunions, transcendental or otherwise is that as one gets older there are less and less folk still alive for such meetings!

What vaguely concerns me, Pat, is the remote but still nagging possibility of meeting up again with some folks I could mention 'on the other side'... :-)
