Hi. I thought Marianne had died for a moment until I checked. She was my pin up in another life long ago. I carried a portrait photo of her in my wallet torn out of NME.

I'm in the process of reading The Gift: Creativity and the Artist in the Modern World, by Lewis Hyde. Marianne Faithfull and John Lennon fit right in to that meditation. Thank you.

Just found your blog through Sabine. I think we share some similar sensibilities. I adore Broken English and this is one of my favorite songs from it. I love the Lennon version as well. It'll cut your heart out.
