Brit Awards

Good to see English folk-rock band Mumford & Sons and indie-folk singer Laura Marling being recognised at the Brit Awards last night ...

Somebody in the Times said how they hated the term folk as they felt it categorised music unnecessarily. Interesting.

I heard the Thubron interview - there was also a good article on him in the Guardian on Saturday (as well as a review the week before) - he does write really well and it is fascinating from so many angles - do read it.

The Hare with the Amber eyes is also brilliant - I thought of you as one of the writer's ancestors knew Rilke and had a long correspondence with him - another must read/

Hope this comment sticks - I can't always get them on to your site.

Really pleased by those wins!

I interviewed June Tabor about her new album recently. It's up on my blog:
