Wonderful to be introduced to Ms. Cardona and her poetry. Anyone who chooses to live in Rilke's world of "widening circles" has my vote at the outset.I like and admire the poem, "The Magician," but I want to come back and read it again. To Ms. Cardona's credit, this is a poem that needs to be mined with multiple readings. The line that resonates most with me, however, is the one she emphasizes: ". . . remember who you are, step outside of time, choose to feed the white wolf." That, I suggest, would widen the circles considerably.
